Derby’s Karam Singh, known on the scene as Kid Karam, is seen by many as the future star of the UK breaking scene. A child prodigy for many years, the 19-year made a serious statement of intent at this year’s UK BBoy Championships by upsetting the odds and reaching the final, where he was narrowly beaten by Soul Mavericks’ mercurial talisman Sunni – arguably the world’s number one dancer. Seen by many in the north as the great hope to break the south’s perceived dominance of UK breaking, Karam will take on Soul Mavericks own protégé, Infante, in a battle which could indicate where the UK’s balance of power will lie in years to come.
Boiled Heads is promoting the match up, which is taking place on December 17th and will be streamed live through the Boiled Heads facebook page. We will be releasing more insight into Karam’s preparation in the build up to those battles between now and December. Follow our social media to stay on top of developments.
Karam has a fluid breaking style that seamlessly combines power, musicality and playfulness. Check out the video below of him beating Soul Mavericks’ leader Spin – who will be one of the judges for his battle with Infante – in the semi-finals at the UK BBoy championships.
