Tom Rowlands-Rees


Tom Rowlands-Rees is a member of East London dance outfit Rain Crew. Outside of dance he is a writer and producer for film and television who has to-date worked predominantly in the Nigerian film industry through his production company Cinema Kpatakpata, which he co-founded with two partners in Nigeria.

Tom wrote and produced Cinema Kpatakpata’s debut feature film Confusion Na Wa, a microbudget project that won Best Picture at the Africa Movie Academy Awards (‘Africa’s Oscars’) and was among the first African films to be made available on Netflix. He also wrote the 12-episode comedy series How I Made My First Million, which screened on EbonyLife TV.
